Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or oleo
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
2 lb. hamburger or ground chuck
1 tsp. minced onion
Preparation

In top pan of double boiler, melt butter or oleo over medium heat.
Add flour, salt and pepper to melted butter or oleo; stir until smooth over low heat.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook, stirring constantly until sauce is thickened and smooth.
Set aside.
Brown hamburger or ground chuck in skillet with minced onion until well browned.
Drain off grease.
Pour hamburger mixture into white sauce; set aside.
