1 (4 oz.) jar pimento
3 or 4 peppers, chopped fine
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. sweet milk
1/3 c. bacon grease
1 onion
