Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. white corn meal (self-rising)
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 c. milk
1 small onion, chopped fine

Preparation

Combine corn meal, milk, egg and onion.
Drop by spoonfuls into hot fat, heated to 375\u00b0, frying only a few at a time.
Makes 2 dozen.
