Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 scant tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. whole kernel corn, well drained
    fat or oil (for deep frying)
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt together.
    Add egg, milk and corn.
    Stir until blended.
    Drop in hot oil, a teaspoonful at a time.
    Brown. Remove and drain. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve hot.
    They look like little oblong doughnuts when finished.
