Chile Con Queso Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine or oil
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tomato, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    1/2 bell pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. picante sauce
    1 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
    2 or 3 fresh hot peppers, chopped (if desired)
Preparation
    Heat margarine or oil until hot.
    Stir in flour.
    Add vegetables and approximately 1 1/2 cups water, stirring until mixture is thick and bubbly.
    Add cheese, cubed and picante sauce. Stir constantly until mixture returns to a simmer.
    Turn heat down very low and simmer about 30 minutes, stirring often.
