Pineapple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow cake mix
    1 c. white sugar
    4 oz. instant vanilla, chocolate or butterscotch pudding
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    coconut and nuts (for top)
Preparation
    Prepare yellow cake mix as directed on the box.
    Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    While cake is baking, boil pineapple and sugar 5 minutes.
    Pour over cake as soon as it comes out of the oven. Poke holes on top.
    Let cool.
    Prepare instant pudding as directed and spread over cooled cake.
    Spread 8 ounces Cool Whip over pudding.
    Sprinkle coconut and nuts on top.
    Refrigerate.
