Cream Of Tartar Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 qt. mild vinegar
    1 pt. water
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    dill and onion
Preparation
    Cut tips off cucumbers and quarter lengthwise.
    Put in jars with dill and onion slices.
    Boil syrup and pour over cucumbers hot.
    Liquid covers 4 quarts.
