Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium onions
    12 saltine crackers, crushed
    1 stick margarine
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    2 eggs
    1/2 to 1 c. milk
    salt and pepper
    sharp cheese, grated
Preparation
    Melt margarine and cook onions.
    Butter a casserole dish and line with cracker crumbs.
    Add onion and soup in layers until dish is full.
    Beat eggs and add to milk.
    Pour over the casserole ingredients.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown and bubbly.
