Hamburger Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large potatoes, thinly sliced
    2 green peppers, sliced or chopped
    2 bunches scallions, chopped (tops and all)
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    16 oz. tomato sauce
Preparation
    Parboil for 10 minutes the potatoes, green peppers and scallions.
    Saute the beef until redness is gone.
    Mix together cheese, salt, sugar and tomato sauce.
    Place a layer of meat in a greased 2-quart casserole; cover with vegetables.
    Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
    Pour tomato sauce mixture over all.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven about 30 minutes.
