Caramelitas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
50 caramels
5 Tbsp. milk
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix the first 5 ingredients together.
Add melted butter. Crumble this mixture and save 1 1/2 cups for top.
Press into 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Melt the caramels in heavy saucepan or double boiler.
Add 8 tablespoons milk.
Pour this over crust.
Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips, 1 cup chopped nuts and remaining crumbs.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
