Ginny'S Light Melody - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 roll Hillshire Farm light Polish kielbasa, sliced quarter size
    2 c. (2%) milk
    1 Tbsp. plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. pepper
    8 oz. shredded cheese
    1 large onion, sliced half-dollar size
    4 medium potatoes, sliced half-dollar size
    2 carrots, diced
    1 c. celery, diced
    1 c. bell pepper, diced
    1 can English peas or kidney beans
    2 c. cabbage, sliced
    5 slices light cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In large baking dish, add sausage and milk.
    Bake for 20 minutes.
    Add shredded cheese, flour, salt and pepper.
    Stir well.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes.
    Parboil cabbage, onion, potatoes, carrots, celery and bell pepper for about 20 minutes.
    Add parboiled vegetables to the sausage mixture.
    Add some vegetable broth if you have room in baking dish.
    Add English peas or kidney beans.
    Bake for 30 minutes or until vegetables are done.
    Cut light cheese slices in half and place on top of casserole for the last 5 minutes of baking time.
