Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
2 Tbsp. lukewarm water
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and sugar together.
Add shortening and cut in with pastry blender.
Add yeast to buttermilk.
Add to flour mixture slowly, stirring in with a fork. Turn dough out onto lightly floured board; knead several times. Roll 1/2-inch thick.
Cut with biscuit cutter and place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 450\u00b0
for 10 to 12 minutes. Yields 2 dozen.
