Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. water
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 small box strawberry Jell-O
1 carton strawberries (fresh)

Preparation

Mix water and sugar together and heat on medium-low heat.
Add cornstarch to mixture when all sugar has dissolved.
Stir in strawberry Jell-O and cook over medium heat until thick.
Turn heat off and set mixture aside to let cool and to let it thicken. Place sliced strawberries in cooked pie crust.
Pour mixture over sliced berries.
Chill for several hours, then top with Cool Whip.
