Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 egg yolks
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1 pt. strawberries, hulled and cut into halves (reserve 4 strawberries for garnish)
1/2 c. plum jelly
2 tsp. Kirsch or water
1/2 c. whipping cream
Preparation

Beat butter, sugar and egg yolks in small mixer bowl at high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; mix thoroughly into butter mixture.
Pat dough evenly into greased 8-inch round cake pan.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven until light brown, about 15 minutes.
Remove from pan; cool on wire rack 10 minutes.
