Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar, divided
    butter (size of a large egg)
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. dates, cut up
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Place 1 cup brown sugar in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch glass dish. Pour boiling water over sugar.
    Mix the rest of the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
    Drop mixture in sugar and water by spoonfuls.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
