Cocoa Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 c. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla until well blended.
    Blend dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Mix into shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Spread in well-greased pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch).
    Bake about 30 minutes.
    Cool; cut into 2-inch squares.
    Makes 16 brownies.
