Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
10 c. water
36 c. sliced apples
Preparation

In a large kettle put all ingredients.
Mix together and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add lemon juice.
Add apples and mix well.
Keep warm while filling jar with apples and then juice from cooking kettle.
Seal and process 20 minutes.
Quart jars.
