Sausage Lasagna - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 (1 lb.) pkg. lasagna
1 lb. round smoked sausage, cut in 1/2-inch slices
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium carrot, grated
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. basil leaves
1 tsp. fennel seed
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (15 oz.) container Ricotta cheese
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 (8 oz.) pkg. grated Mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Prepare lasagna according to package directions.
Drain.
In large skillet, cook sausage, onion and carrot, until onion is tender.
Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, 1 teaspoon salt, basil, fennel and pepper.
Simmer 20 minutes.
Blend together Ricotta, egg and salt.
