Chicken Marengo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. cut-up chicken
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 large chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 can peeled tomatoes
    1 bay leaf, crushed
    1/2 tsp. thyme, crushed
    1 sprig parsley
    1 1/2 c. white wine
    1/2 lb. mushrooms
Preparation
    Season chicken and brown in mixture of butter and oil in large skillet together with chopped onion.
    Sprinkle flour on top; add wine, tomatoes, spices and garlic.
    Let simmer gently for 20 minutes.
