Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. cut-up chicken legs
    1 large can of Italian style plum tomatoes in puree
    1 large onion
    3 to 4 cloves of garlic
    1 Tbsp dried basil
    1/4 cup olive oil
Preparation
    Wash chicken and brown lightly in olive oil using a large saucepan. Add onions, garlic and basil;
    saute until onions are tender. Add tomatoes and all of puree to chicken mixture. Cover and simmer gently for two hours. Stir chicken a few times during the two hours, being sure to push the chicken down under the sauce before covering the pan and leaving it to simmer. Serve over linguine.
