Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. ginger
    sugar
Preparation
    Cream
    shortening,
    brown sugar, egg and molasses.
    Mix in all
    other
    ingredients,
    except sugar.
    Cover and chill 1 hour. Bake
    at
    375\u00b0.
    Dip
    tops of balls into sugar; place 3 inches apart on lightly greased pan.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set. Remove immediately from pans.
