Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    pinch of salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    3 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
    3/4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. milk
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg with pinch of salt.
    Add sugar and shortening and mix well.
    Add cocoa, flour and baking powder, sifted together.
    Add milk gradually; beat well.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Stir well.
    Pour into buttered and floured baking pan (8 or 9-inch).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done.
