Pound Cake* - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time and beat well.
    Sift baking powder with flour.
    Alternate milk and flour. Bake at 275\u00b0 until done.
