Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    21/2 c. citric acid
    4 lb. sugar
    1 qt. ginger ale
    4 qt. water
    3/4 c. lemon juice
    1 (No. 2) can pineapple juice
    food color
Preparation
    Add sugar and acid in enamel boiler.
    Add 2 quarts boiling water; dissolve quickly.
    Add lemon and pineapple juices and 2 quarts water.
    Add color.
    Add ginger ale before serving.
