Baked French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. heavy cream
    1/2 c. unsalted butter, melted
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    8 oz. French bread, sliced 1/2-inch thick
Preparation
    Preheat oven at 350\u00b0.
    Combine eggs, sugar, milk, cream, butter, vanilla and nutmeg; blend well.
    Pour mixture over bread slices, turning until saturated.
    Arrange into lightly greased 4-quart dish.
    Pour excess over bread.
    Bake, uncovered, 30 to 45 minutes.
    Serve with warm syrup or fruit preserves.
    Serves 10.
