Grandma'S Gumdrop Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. water or coffee
1 c. raisins or dates
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
scant tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 c. walnuts
1/2 lb. small gumdrops
fruit cake mix

Preparation

Bake 1 hour in pan that you have oiled and lined with brown paper in a moderate oven.
Cool in pan for 1 hour before removing from pan.
Doesn't require filling.
