Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    2 c. peanuts or less
    1 tsp. baking soda
    pinch of salt
    2 Tbsp. butter (optional)
Preparation
    Bring sugar and corn syrup to a boil.
    Add peanuts; stir constantly and cook on high heat until mixture turns light brown in color.
    Remove from heat; add butter and salt and stir.
    Add soda last and pour thinly onto a buttered greased cookie sheet.\tCool and break into pieces.
