Company Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck
    2 Tbsp. shortening or oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. ketchup
    1 Tbsp. steak sauce
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    5 oz. elbow macaroni
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Brown ground chuck in shortening.
    Add onion, tomatoes, ketchup, steak sauce and green pepper.
    Simmer for 30 minutes. Cook macaroni according to package directions and combine macaroni and ground beef mixture in a baking dish.
    Season to taste. Gently spoon cream of mushroom soup into mixture.
    (Put cheese on top before you bake.)
