Orange Slice Candy Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 sticks margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 lb. orange slice candy
pinch of salt
4 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1 small can coconut
1 lb. dates
1 tsp. soda

Preparation

Preheat oven to 250\u00b0.
Melt butter and let cool.
Cream sugar; add 1 egg at a time and beat well.
Add buttermilk and soda.
Beat all together.
Add flour and salt.
Add chopped dates, coconut, nuts and candy.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 2 1/2 hours.
Frost.
