Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    small white pickling cucumbers
    water
    2/3 c. sugar
    salt
    2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers. Soak overnight in salted water (1 handful of salt for every 1/2 gallon of water).
    Drain.
    Cover cucumbers with boiling water.
    Allow to stand for 10 minutes.
    Drain and pack into sterilized jars.
    Combine vinegar, 1 cup water and sugar. Bring to a boil and allow to boil for about 10 minutes.
    Pour hot vinegar solution over cucumbers in jars.
    Seal.
