Pork Chops And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 well trimmed center cut pork chops
    2 2/3 c. converted rice
    2 green peppers, sliced in 1/2-inch slices
    2 tomatoes, sliced in 1/2-inch slices
    2 onions, sliced in 1/2-inch slices
    2 cans beef consomme
Preparation
    Brown pork chops.
    Set aside.
    In 15 x
    10-inch baking dish, put uncooked rice.
    Layer pork chops with green pepper slices, tomato slices and onion slices.
    Salt and pepper well.
    Pour consomme over all; rinse the cans with a little water and add to casserole.
    Bake, covered, in a 350\u00b0 oven until liquid is absorbed and vegetables are done,
    approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
