Ingredients

3 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
7 c. milk
6 eggs, beaten
6 c. whipping cream
3 Tbsp. vanilla
40 chocolate cookies (cream sandwich)
Preparation

Combine sugar, flour and salt in saucepan.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook over medium heat approximately 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
Gradually add beaten eggs.
Cook 1 minute; remove from heat.
Refrigerate about 1 hour.
Combine whipping cream and vanilla, stirring with a wire whisk.
Add crumbled cookies to mixture and freeze in 6-quart ice cream freezer as directed.
