Meringue Pineapple Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. white cake mix
    2 eggs, separated
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. coconut
    1/2 c. crushed pineapple, drained
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine cake mix, egg yolks, butter and vanilla.
    Mix well and pat into well-greased 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Add sugar gradually.
    Fold in coconut and pineapple.
    Pour mixture over cake mix.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Cut into squares while warm.
    Yields 2 dozen.
