Million Dollar Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. pickles
    1 gal. boiled water
    1 pt. salt
    2 Tbsp. alum
    2 1/2 qt. vinegar
    4 handfuls mixed pickle spices, tied in a bag
    cinnamon sticks
Preparation
    Slice pickles.
    Make a
    brine
    of
    the boiled water and salt. Let cool.
    Put over pickles.
    Let stand for 7 days with weight on top.
