Stir-Fried Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef flank or boneless sirloin
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. soy sauce
    1/8 tsp. white pepper (optional)
    1/2 c. chicken broth (use bouillon)
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 c. cold water
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    16 oz. frozen stir-fry vegetables, thawed
    rice or Chinese noodles
Preparation
    Trim fat from beef; cut with grain into 2-inch strips.
    Cut strips across into 1/8-inch slices.
    Toss beef in vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, salt, sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder and pepper.
    Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
