Gooey Pecan Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18 oz.) pkg. caramel cake mix
    1 large egg, lightly beaten
    1 c. butter or margarine, melted and divided
    2 large eggs
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. powdered sugar, sifted
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine cake mix, 1 egg and 1/2 cup butter.
    Press into bottom of a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Set aside.
    Combine 2 eggs, cream cheese, powdered sugar and remaining 1/2 cup butter; beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth.
    Stir in pecans; pour over cake mix layer.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes, or until set, covering loosely with aluminum foil after 45 minutes.
    Cool on a wire rack.
    Yields 3 dozen.
