Mountain Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs, separated
2 tsp. sugar
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. milk
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
3 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
Preparation

Beat eggs in a separate bowl.
Add sugar; beat well.
Add cornmeal, milk and flour.
Add melted butter, baking powder and salt.
Pour into a greased iron skillet.
Bake at 450\u00b0 until golden brown and done.
Cut into large slices.
Serves 6.
