Jeff Davis Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) uncooked pie shell, chilled
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or 1 stick
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. milk
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Cream together butter and sugar; add flour, salt and vanilla. Beat well.
    Add eggs; stir in milk.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for 30 minutes until firm.
