Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
Preparation

Combine sugar and molasses.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add well beaten egg, milk and vanilla.
Mix and sift dry ingredients and add to first mixture.
Chill dough until firm enough to handle.
Roll out on floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut with cutter and bake on buttered cookie sheet 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
