Jonnie'S Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c butter or margarine
    1/3 c granulated sugar
    2 tsp water
    2 tsp vanilla
    2 c sifted all-purpose flour
    1 c chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; and water and vanilla; mix well. Blend in flour and nuts.
    Chill 4 hours.
    Shape in balls or fingers (make sure dough is cold at all times).
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees about 20 minutes.
    Remove from pan; cool slightly.
    Roll in confectioners sugar.
    Makes about 3 dozen.
