Love Knots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. baking powder
    5 eggs
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. butter or margarine (2 sticks melted)
    Anisette to taste
    confectioners sugar
    lemon juice
Preparation
    Combine sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla in mixer until creamy, then add flour and baking powder, a little at a time to mixture to make dough.
    Knead the dough about 5 to 10 minutes.
    Roll into knots and bake for 12 minutes.
    Rotate trays from bottom to top. Do not overbake.
    They must be white, not brown.
    Let cool.
