Corn Meal Muffins * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crutchfields cornmeal
    1 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. oil or melted shortening
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Sift together the dry ingredients.
    Beat together the egg and milk and add to dry ingredients along with oil, stirring just enough to dampen.
    Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full and bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Makes 12 muffins.
