Marilyn'S English Pasties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

14 c. flour
2 Tbsp. salt
2 lb. Crisco
4 1/2 c. water
1 lb. onions, diced
5 lb. meat, cut small (beef stew or chuck roast)
14 lb. potatoes
3 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. pepper
1/4 c. grated rutabaga
Preparation

For dough, mix first 3 ingredients.
Mix well.
Add water and mix as little as necessary and use as little flour as you can when rolling out the dough.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes until crust is golden brown.
Make a small slit in the top of each pastie.
When you remove from oven, put a little water oleo mixture into slit (1 teaspoon oleo and 1/2 teaspoon water for each pastie).
Let sit for a few minutes.
