1936 Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. granulated sugar (white)
2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. butter Crisco
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
-
Mix all ingredients in a large saucepan.
Bring slowly to a full boil, stirring constantly.
Boil hard for 2 minutes (2 1/2 minutes on a rainy day).
Cool to lukewarm.
Add vanilla and beat until creamy.
