Pineapple Yam Apple Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
    1 (29 oz.) can yams, drained
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 c. sugar
    3 large tart cooking apples
    2 c. warm pineapple juice, drained from fruits
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. butter, diced
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch, sugar and pineapple juice.
    Then add lemon juice and butter.
    Mix well.
    Peel and slice apples.
    In a 9 x 13-inch buttered casserole dish alternate layers of sliced yams, apples and pineapple chunks.
    Pour sauce over.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for one hour, stirring 2 or 3 times during cooking.
    Garnish top with sliced pineapple and cherries.
