Cherry Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. broken soda crackers
    3/4 c. broken nuts (your choice)
    2 envelopes Dream Whip or use Cool Whip
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy.
    Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff; add vanilla.
    Fold in soda crackers and broken nuts.
    Spread in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Let cool.
