Cheese Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. fresh broccoli
    1 pt. half and half
    2 c. water
    1 lb. pasteurized cheese
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    6 slices cooked bacon
Preparation
    Steam broccoli until tender.
    Place half and half and water in the top of a double boiler.
    Add cheese, salt and pepper.
    Heat until cheese is melted.
    Add broccoli.
    Mix cornstarch and water in small bowl.
    Stir into cheese.
    Crumble bacon and sprinkle on top.
    Serve warm.
