Beef Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. hot water
    1 lb. chopped onion
    8 oz. chopped green peppers
    3 lb. cooked ground beef, drained
    1 (No. 10) can tomato tidbits
    1 (No. 10) can kidney beans with liquid
    8 oz. beef base
    1/4 oz. black pepper
    1 oz. salt
    1 oz. sugar
    8 oz. Worcestershire sauce
    4 lb. cabbage, cut into 1-inch squares
Preparation
    In a 20 quart container, put onion and green peppers in 2 gallons water and bring
    to
    a
    rapid boil.
    Add meat, tomatoes, beans, beef base, pepper, salt, sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well.\tAdd
    cabbage.
    Bring
    to
    boil\tand
    then simmer for 30 minutes.
    Makes 5 gallons.
