Tomato Ketchup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. chopped fresh or canned tomatoes (no salt)
    3/4 c. tomato paste
    2 c. chopped onions
    1 sweet green pepper, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1 large bay leaf
    1/4 tsp. cloves (ground)
    1/4 tsp. ground pepper
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground mustard
    1 tsp. finely minced garlic
    1/4 tsp. ground mace
    1/4 tsp. ground allspice
    1/4 c. malt vinegar
Preparation
    Combine tomatoes, tomato paste, onions and green pepper in saucepan. Simmer 30 minutes.
    Empty tomato mixture into food processor or blender.
    Blend thoroughly.
    Return to saucepan. Add other ingredients. Bring to a boil. Simmer 10 minutes.
    Stir often.
    Yields about 5 cups.
