Near East Barbecued Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    4 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. salad oil
    2 lb. shoulder (1-inch strips) or boneless chuck
Preparation
    Remove all fat from meat.
    In a bowl, combine the onion, garlic, soy sauce, sugar, pepper and oil.
    Pour mixture over the strips of beef and coat well with your hands.
    Broil the marinated meat, turning once, until tender (about 5 minutes on each side).
